I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Vehicle crime (theft from or theft of), which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. We have to take further actions to avoid Vehicle Crime in our Community.
THIS IS SERIOUS!
We would like to make residents aware that there has been an increase in vehicle-related crime reported in the area. Offenders are targeting vehicles that have been left insecure or contain valuables on display.
We encourage all vehicle owners to remain vigilant and take simple precautions to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime.
Three ways to protect your vehicle:
Always lock your vehicle and close all windows, even if leaving it unattended for only a short time.
Remove all valuables from sight, including bags, mobile phones, wallets, tools, and loose change.
Park in well lit, busy areas where possible and consider using additional security devices such as steering wheel locks or vehicle alarms, CCTVs , Cameras, Trackers etc.
One of our main issues lately is theft braking into cars to stole goods. Please don't leave valuable items in your car.
If you witness any suspicious activity around vehicles, please report it to the police. Together, we can help keep our community safe.
We are here to help but most of all to prevent crime from happening.
